The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Premier University organized a day-long workshop titled “Optimizing Performance and Workplace Efficiency for Premier University Support Staff.” The workshop was held on Thursday, 26 February 2026, at the university’s GEC Circle campus.
The Honorable Vice Chancellor, Professor S. M. Nasrul Quadir, attended the program as the Chief Guest. In his speech, the Vice Chancellor stated that the true strength of a university is not limited to its faculty members or infrastructure; rather, the overall effectiveness of an institution largely depends on the efficiency, punctuality, sense of responsibility, and competence of its administrative and support staff. In today’s competitive world, enhancing workplace skills, effectively utilizing technology, and improving service quality are essential. Such training workshops play a vital role in strengthening professional competence, accountability, and teamwork among support staff.
He further added that Premier University gives equal importance to administrative excellence alongside quality education. Without improving workplace discipline, service standards, and time management, no institution can move toward sustainable development. He expressed his belief that through this workshop, non-academic staff members would become more skilled, aware, and innovative in carrying out their responsibilities. He also mentioned that similar training programs will continue in the future.
In his presentation, Professor Dr. Tanvir Mohammad Hayder Arif emphasized enhancing workplace efficiency, professional ethics, time management, teamwork, and the effective use of modern technology. He noted that efficiency is measured not only by the quantity of work but also by its quality, punctuality, and responsible conduct. A more efficient administrative structure enables an institution to achieve its goals more swiftly.
He further added that fostering cooperation, communication skills, and the ability to complete tasks within deadlines among support staff is crucial. A positive mindset, professional behavior, and effective use of technology make the work environment more dynamic and productive. The primary objective of the workshop was to enhance participants’ efficiency, sense of responsibility, and service-oriented mindset.
Employees from the university administration, various faculties, and departments actively participated in the workshop.
